Summer Wear DOs and DONTs Part 1

Many people are wondering what's in fashion and what's not? I mean if it was easy to keep up with it wouldn't be called fashion right? Many people wonder how to dress down on a boiling hot summer day without wearing short shorts and a tank top. Here are a few styles that should help you cool down this July. here are a few dos that should keep you in budget and don'ts that need to be donated.

First Up Do wear summer dresses: Summer is here and that means it's time for you to kick off those sneakers, ditch the jacket, and leave your jeans in the closet because for the last few months of summer you'll be living in the season's must-have staple:  the fun & easy; summer dress. Think about it: they’re comfy, breezy and can easily be dressed up or down with the right accessories. Yes, the perfect summer dress is something you can throw on before sipping lemonade in your backyard and then wear with your favorite wedges the next time you go out.

Part One: The Summer Dress Dos & Don'ts

Lets get started: These dresses are easy to dress down for a casual morning or dress up for a fancy dinner. This is a must have if your going to survive this summer's fashion wave. Another DO don't be afraid to go with out of the box patterns: Colors, plaid, polka dots, and stripes are all in right now.

DON'T: Even think about wearing sheer fabrics.

 This is a MAJOR don't. Fashion has changed course and has begun to take cleaner styles over slutty sheer outfits.

 DO: Find floral and abstract prints to wear.

DON'T: GO to mini dresses. 

They may feel light and airy, but that's pretty much it. The downside to these dresses are the protection they give which is usually little to none.

Do: Wear Bright Colors

While neon may not be in right now bright colors are. All bold rainbow colors are dos. Also mess around with neck lines while you can.

DON'T: Go to short you may ask me what is considered to short. 

The shortest a dress, short, skirt, etc. should be is just above mid thigh. Any higher is a crime.

Do: Wear MAXI dresses 

This little high low gown has made a come back over the years and is now probable the summer "it" dress. Maxis are a little tropical, a little glamorous and a whole lot of chic. Wear one over a bikini and sandals if you’re feeling casual or dress it up with statement jewelry and a clutch come nighttime. 

Depending on the pattern you choose swipe more or less mascara and eye shadow.

Do: Wear white. 

White has also made a come back. Do NOT wear all white with the exception of a white dress. White is now the new black (For now at least). So now stock up on some white blouses, skirts, etc. Accessorize with a smoky eye and a little mascara to boost your look or dress your little white dress with some sandals and a good pair of hoop earrings. Also accessorize white with black. Confusing right. Wear a black belt or bonnet to dress down your look. When debating on lipstick choices for your little white dress always choose the light nude or if your want to be the trend setter wear a bold shade of red.
